A lament for the boys' washroom
A lament for the boys’ washroom
By Mattias Kondor
The room which lies before the mini hall
Is used so often by the one who thinks
He might fulfill his cleaning functions all
But finds disaster coming to the sinks!
The soap machine, expectedly, is messed,
But he endures, and by routine commands
The tap to start, but patience finds its test
When flow recedes as quickly as his hands!
He tries again and fails. He must be cursed,
And as he tries another is undone
For each sink operates just as the first
His hands, frustrated, must wash one by one!
It is a shambles, so I ask you, gents,
To seek, for pointless plumbing, recompense!
